Zac Efron is the new Spiderman!

It was a shock for everyone when news hit last week that Tobey Maguire is not going to be in the next Spiderman movie, but we have some great news to share!

It has been confirmed that Zac Efron will take over the role and Spiderman is getting a fresh new look - literally! We also heard a rumour that Zac's High School musical co-star and real-life girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens might also be taking over Kirsten Dunst's role as Spidey's love interest in the movie!

Could it get anymore exciting than this?! (Source: OK!)

i'm not a big fan of Zac but... i must conffest i like his face hahahaha he is very cute and he is the only reason why i saw high school musical hahahaha

BUT it will be weird see him as spiderman, because inb my mind the only spiderman i know and that i like is Tobey so....
we'll see what the future brings to my TV :-p hahahah

Spider-Man Swings Into Theaters in 3D

Spider-Man will swing into theaters worldwide in 3D beginning July 3, 2012, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman of Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing & Distribution. The new film which is still untitled, will begin production later this year directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios.

Commenting on the announcement, Blake said, "Spider-Man is the ultimate summer movie-going experience, and we're thrilled the filmmakers are presenting the next installment in 3D. Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the world, and we know audiences are eager and excited to discover Marc's fantastic vision for Peter Parker and the franchise."
