Nah. It's not their defeat. None of them were alive back then. :-P Anyway, I like to think of the day as good for the whole world. After all, countries have made a lot of money over the years trading with the U.S. Any new country that pops up, including the U.S. when it popped up 230 years ago, is a great financial opportunity for countries around it. Not to mention that the U.S. made the basis for the Constitutional Republic--the form of government that would breed industrialization--and that such methods have been emulated for the formation of healthy governments and economies all over the world. So see? We all win.
So I say three cheers for the red, the white, and the blue.
