Ive used paypal for about two years. You need to go thru a registering process and you will have to give them your account details so the money can be taken out of your account. Paypal works as a ''go between''. Lets say you wanted to send 10 euros to me. You send 10 euros to my e-mail address, paypal will then taken money from your account (takes about 5 days to show), and transfer the funds to my paypal account (paypal take a small fee out to the recipent). Then the fund I have in my paypal account can be withdrawn to my bank account, thats how it works. |

I've never used paypal...I've heard stories for and against but there is an alternative. If you're unsure about paypal why don't you get a credit card that you only use for online purchases? That way you limit the chances of identity theft and nearly all cards protect you from charges that are made illegally. |

To complete registration for PayPal, you have to pay $1 and have a credit/debit card to be able to put money into your account. I've tried getting one once, but I don't have a debit card, so I'm screwed, lol. |

ja it doesn't cost you anything to have an account with them. they just charge you $1 (USD) when you setup, then they give it back to you when you verify the account. from then on, there arent any charges for sending money. when you receive money, they take a percent of it. eg, if someone sends you 10 Euro, you'll only get like 9 Euro and 20 cents or something. it's can be quite a useful service. |

^That's an Escrow service... I didn't know you could do that with PayPal. now I feel dumb lol cos I've been using it since 2000. How do you use that option? Normally when I send money it goes through immediately to the seller. |
