yeah she does, or almond-shaped eyes (which is the same) like you politically-correct friends like to call it. so I guess saying a black person has a dark skin is stereotyping as well? *yawn*

No, it's not stereotyping.

BibFortuna's just making a racially insensitive expression which borders on racism.

Know anybody who doesn't have almond shaped eyes?

Ever wonder why Japanese anime characters have round eyes?

Eastern europeans have almond-shape eyes, descendants of China's Genghis Khan.

Oh please, people!
If you keep going on like this, sooner or later every topic will be about racism.
When about 99% of a country's population has slit-eyes, you are not stereotyping if you say that everyone from that country has slit-eyes. In that case, saying that every dutch citizen speaks the dutch language would be stereotyping too; I'd be surprised if any Jap would feel offended.

Some of you sound quite medieval actually, though you keep screaming "racism, racism!" to everything and everyone, instead of "blasphemy!".

well, deal with it cos I'm not going to adjust my language to all you politically-correct nitpickers.

why do anime characters have round eyes? I dunno, because those Japs simply cannot draw properly? I mean, the big round eyes is one thing, but why do they all look like 5-year-olds with huge boobs?

I agree! And what's wrong with sliteyes? Exactly, nothing!
But if you say that all in Sweden is blonde with blue eyes, that's stereotyping, and I'm swedish and have brown hair and hazel eyes. And I know many other swedes who not are blonde with eyes...

yeah that would be stereotyping, however, white people come in all shapes, hair/eye colours etc. surely some things are very common like i.e. Irish people having red hair, but that doesn't mean that every time I see a picture of somebody a person with red hair, I'm assuming that s/he must be Irish.
Other races like i.e. Japanese or Africans, on the other hand, all look nearly the same. Japs all have black hair, slit-eyes(meh) and are usually quite short and skinny and all Africans have a black skin, thick lips and black, curly hair, so how can that be stereotyping? They just are like that.

Thats not stereotyping BUT the sound and tone of it can be hurtful to others..
Like "flat nose", "dark kinky hair", etc... sounds unpleasant, whereas "blondie" , "red-head" sounds pleasant.

so.. just stop using descriptions that locks-on a certain race.. so instaed of saying "dark kinky hair" / "yellow man".. just say an alternative word that doesn't sound so strong like "curly brunette" / "of asian-descent".
