Logistics Specialist

Job Description:

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois

CoWorx is seeking a Logistics Specialist in the Bolingbrook, IL area!

As a Specialist, Logistics, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and supporting daily logistics operations.

This includes managing order entry, routing, dispatching, and traffic coordination to ensure freight moves efficiently and customers receive top-tier service.

You’ll serve as the communication link between drivers, customers, and account managers to keep shipments on track and on time.

Shifts:
Tuesday – Saturday; 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
Tuesday-Saturday 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

Maintain customer profile information and accurately enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure shipments arrive on time and in good condition
Provide updates to account managers, receivers, and customers regarding load status and issue resolutions
Take check calls from drivers, confirm delivery timing, and validate all load data prior to marking deliveries for accounting
Investigate and document any product overages, shortages, or damages
Schedule or reschedule delivery appointments and accept or decline loads per account manager direction
Offer detailed routing instructions to drivers and assist in problem resolution during transit

Desired Background/Skills:

1 year of admin/customer service experience
General knowledge of the transportation industry
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear reports and correspondence
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to apply practical judgment and follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions
