Maintenance Supervisor

CoWorx Staffing is hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor in Batavia, IL to lead and coordinate all maintenance activities for our facility. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and smooth operations on the first shift.

Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift (Batavia, IL)

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of three maintenance technicians, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all maintenance protocols.
Track equipment inventory, source parts, and manage purchasing needs.
Perform installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery and facility systems.
Handle building-related repairs and improvements, including office, breakroom, and restroom areas.
Coordinate small-scale facility projects such as painting or furniture assembly.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic instruments, for repairs and installations.
Complete administrative duties, including conducting performance evaluations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and address safety concerns proactively.
Other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

Desired Background/Skills:

Minimum of 10 years in maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Proven ability to plan, organize, and report maintenance operations effectively.
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documentation in English.
Innovative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
